Jada and the Patchwork Patch

A book about inclusion

When Jada’s relay team loses Sailor to a paw injury right before the relay is to start, they must find someone to fill his place in order to stay in the competition.  Jada spots a dog named Poppy sitting alone under a tree.  When asked, Poppy excitedly accepts being part of the team.  Sailor isn’t sure she can take his place saying, “I have four legs she only has three!” Little did Sailor know that she might be just what the team needs.  The team learns that including someone who looks different only made their team stronger.

Jada and Her New Pink Cart

A book about love

Jada is a dog sitting in an animal shelter waiting for someone to adopt her and bring her home.  Quill is a stray dog who lives on the streets.  Together they both find the love they’ve looked for in Mike and Ellens home.   When Jada develops a problem with her back and it seems like some hope is lost, she is suddenly gifted with a cart that gives her back her freedom to run and play.  This book shows children that a family has come together through love.

Jada’s New Friend at the Vet

A book about conquering fear

No one really  likes to go to the doctor, so when Jada and Quill go to the vet for their checkup and see a very scared little dog, they decide to tell her exactly what the doctor is going to do and how important it is to get your checkups.  This really helps the dog named Irish and when her name is called by the receptionist, she stands up tall and is ready to go in to see the doctor.  Hopefully children will be able to see the comparison in not being afraid of going to the doctor themselves.

Willows Goodbye

A book about losing your pet

As we all know, losing a pet is heartbreaking.  This book is to comfort those, especially children, who have had to say goodbye to a beloved pet.  This book will help parents assist in explaining to children what is happening in a most stressful part of their lives.

Jada and the Great Beach Race

A book about confidence

When Jada and Quill go the beach with mom and dad, they have no idea that Jada is confidence is going to be challenged that day.  A dolphin sees Jada in her cart and asks her for a race.  With Quills support, and positive thinking, Jada takes on the challenge with the dolphin and ends up winning the beach race.  All because you can accomplish anything if you just put your mind to it.

Jada and the Lost Little Beagle

A book about responsibility

When out on a hike with mom and dad, Jada and Quill discover a lost little beagle stuck under a log. When asked how she got there, she explains that the door wasn’t closed tight, and the gate wasn’t locked shut. Temptation to chase a squirrel got the better of her and so the chase was on. This book teaches children that owning any pet takes responsibility as the pet relies on them for their safety.
